Running free in Newton

>   Dog Parks  —  SNIF  @  7:21 pm

Last thursday, we visited parks in Newton after hearing about how pet owners are efond of taking walks there. We met a very friendly pooch named Mika (pictured above) and her owner, Jim (pictured below). The pair recently moved here from LA and both seem to have adapted well to East Coast life.

We also met Loki (above), a 6 month old Springer Spaniel, and Juke (below), who is 15 years old.

Peters Park

Peters Park, located in the South End, is raising money in order to better the aesthetics of the area. The area will be the first official city dog park in Boston. We stopped by the fundraising event organized by the Friends of Peters Park. One innovative way the park is raising money is by selling personalized “concrete pawprint pavers”. Below is a picture of the paver installation plans.

Numerous shops in the area have already contributed to the event, including Polka Bakery where we met Charlie, an adorable Beagle!

We would like to give a special thanks to Mary, Heather and all the volunteers for all their effort!
