Mina is a two year old Chihuahua who lives in Boston.

She is a very affectionate mommy and daddy’s girl but, as her mom Monik told us, needs some work on socialization. In fact, like many other Chihuahuas, Mina is afraid of playing with other dogs, especially if they are big.

Monik sent Mina to a training school with big dogs, to help her to acquire self confidence but she ended up to dropp Mina out of the school, because the little girl was fricking out all the time.

The beautiful parrot in the picture is Raymond, Mina’s brother. They are very close to each other, despite recently, as Raymond got older and more… “macho”, the two animals have some problems. It looks like Raymond scares Mina when the parents are not at home!

As a solution to improve Mina’s social life, her parents takes her to the Boston Chihuahua meetup and Mina is getting more and more social.

Pug owners in Cambridge periodically meet to allow their pets to play together. Some pugs can’t play with bigger dogs and prefer to have fun with small dogs, as they are. Other small dogs welcome too.

Pug owners meet up every other Monday night from 6 to 7pm at Fort Washington Park in Cambridge, a park that is totally fenced in.
