Special guest of the event is Catie Copley (pictured above), the famous dog who welcomes guests at the Fairmont Copley Plaza Hotel, located at 138 St. James Avenue in Boston, MA.

Catie is a very sweet dog. We met her last week at the Fairmont Copley Plaza Hotel. She is irresistible! Guests love her and can even book a walk with her. Some keep visiting the hotel just to stop and say hi to the pooch.

Dog Trunk Show

>   Dog Events  —  SNIF  @  11:01 am

There’s another event coming up at Cause to Paws, a pet boutique in Brookline, MA, which is hosting a Hallowe’en party will take place on Sunday, October 28th at 2PM. Costumes will be judged, with judging taking place at 3pm.

Last September the boutique, which is located at the heart of Coolidge Corner, was where Laurie Herbst, a designer and tailor of dog coats and dresses, and her dog Lucca presented the new Bella Lucca Collection.

Dogs that attended the event could ‘model’ items from the new collection, while Carol Martling, a local photographer, took pictures of the dogs. Here is the beautiful Paulina, a Yorkshire who is also a professional model.

Paulina attended the event with her “sister”, Mia, and her parents, Jim and Linda. As you can see in the picture below, Mia wears gorgeous jewelry: Jim made it especially for her.

Daschunds looking for a family!

>   Boston Woofstyle  —  SNIF  @  5:36 pm

White Dachshund

Rocky is a very sweet white daschund, who is blind and deaf. He is a very lucky dog because he is always surrounded by new friends. In fact, his owner, Kim, fosters several daschunds in need of a new family.

Kim is a member of the Daschund Rescue of North America. We met her and Rocky at last Boston Daschunds Meetup, where she also brought along two puppies she is fostering, Buster and Winslow (pictured below).

>   Dog Events  —  SNIF  @  4:43 pm

Pug at the Middlesex Fells

Richard Stewart, Fells District Manager of the DCR, has proposed an off-leash dog park in the Middlesex Fells. The park is supposed to be ten acres. FellsDOG, a group of dog owners, will report about the park next Saturday, October 13, from 10 am to 1 pm, during the Sheepfold Clean-Up Day at the Middlesex Fells. You and your dog are welcome to join!

There will be also free snacks and drinks, and a raffle for great prizes.
The Committee to Protect Dogs will join to spread the word about the proposed Greyhound Protection Act, and you can sign the petition to get it on the ballot in 2008!

Pictured below are two pugs who join the pug day at the Fells last July 28. And here are some pictures of the area where the park will be hopefully located.
