As promised, here are some pics of the winners of the Halloween Parade organized by Doggie Day.

We are very happy to announce that among the winners were our friends Amy and her tiny Chihuahua Cucuy, and Jim with the Yorkshires Paulina and Mia.

Here is the full list of winners and prizes for the three categories of the contest.

BEST GROUP ENSEMBLE
First prize: Photoshoot with Dana Berenson of La Muse Photography.
Winner: KING LOUIS AND HIS COURT

Second prize: Day of Beauty at sPoochies.

Third Prize: Dinner for two at California Pizza Kitchen and a goody box of the finest brownies, cookies, and freshly baked gifts from Geoff and Drew’s.

MOST ORIGINAL

Unfortunately, one of our favorite costumes, the lobster, didn’t win any prize, but we still liked it very much anyway!

All profits from the parade benefited dogs from Canine Companions for Independence. There was an impressive demonstration of what these dogs can do to help people with disabilities on the stage. This great organization raised a lot of awareness of their cause with the parade but more help is needed to train their smart dogs - so please contact them if you can!
