Holiday Dog Travel

Attention any dog owners traveling this holiday season- today’s post is for you! We’ve scoured the web in search of the best tips for all the Boston dog owners out there.

If you’re heading out of the Boston area and thinking about leaving your dog in a kennel, you can check out this list, this extensive list with reviews, or take a look at our previous posts about dog day care facilities. And for first time kennel users, you will benefit from reading this page.

If you have a local dog-sitter taking care of your pup while you travel, then you should read this page of advice on preparing both your dog and your home for a pet sitter.

Taking your dog on a road trip can be fun, but make sure to prepare appropriately. Read over the ASPCA’s Top Ten Tips for Safe Car Travel with Your Pet or the similar tips given by Edmunds, available here.

Or if you are flying with your dog this season, check out this link of

Check out this site – it lists hotels which allow pets along with any special details on fees or restrictions (make sure to on the specific city, after you choose the state)

And lastly, make sure to read a post by Michelle (who comments here sometimes!) at her dog blog, about keeping your pet safe through the holidays.

We hope everyone has safe travels and happy holidays!
