I was emailed this morning by a member of one of the local doggie meetup groups asking for help with a found dog in Quincy. Here is the message:

“A neighbor just found a young Doxie tied to our garbage dumpster in Quincy. Has anyone lost or had one stolen? It is healthy & being cared for but I want to find its real home if it was stolen. Anyone missing a dog can contact me and describe sex age color etc and it will be returned to its proper home”

This is very sad, but hopefully this dog can be reunited with its owners soon! If you have any information- leave a comment below or send us an email and we will be in touch!

Today I learned about a new dog breed: the Mini Goldendoodle! As the name suggests it is a mix of a golden retriever and a miniature poodle. Take a look at this video found on YouTube to see just how playful these dogs can be:

The pug meetup that takes place once a month at Doggie Day, located at 400 Tremont St in Boston, is definitely one of the most social dog playgroups we have been to. Last weekend’s meetup was full of nice pug owners with their pretty babies. If you have a pug, or if you just like them, this meetup is a great opportunity to meet other pug lovers, to socialize your pug and to exchange tips about the breed. Next event will take place on February 2nd at 10 am at Doggie Day.

The New Repertory Theatre in Watertown is currently looking for a small dog to be a part of its current production of Moliere’s “The Misanthrope”. The owner would need to commit to dropping the dog off and picking him/her up for daily performances from January 13 to Feb 10, 2008.

Our friend Anya - with the supervision of her dog Oscar, pictured above - prepared an amazing map of cool dog-related locations in New York - like vets, pet boutiques, dog parks, shelters etc. It is similar to the dog Boston map you can find in this blog.
