We just received a wonderful email from our friends at the Animal Rescue League:

“I’m pleased to announce that our volunteer Alyssa Kane is the recipient of the HSUS 2008 Humane Teen of the Year Award. Alyssa began her love of animal welfare during the Mutts-N-More Friday night program with Beth Finn and I in 2002, when she was thirteen years old. She’s an outstanding individual, an honor roll student, a hardworking employee and an invaluable volunteer here at the League.

We should take pride in knowing that she is part of the next generation of workers in the humane field and that the ARL has been the one to foster her enthusiasm.
