In case you had missed it, this week is the Westminster Kennel Club dog show- the Academy Awards of Dog Breeding.

The show started yesterday and wraps up this afternoon. You can still catch TV coverage of it, tonight from 8-11pm on USA.

Take a look at the Westminster Kennel Club’s website for an entire list of “Best of Breed” winners. And click on “Breed judging” to see pictures of each dog, like this prize winning Toy Poodle.

The Animal Rescue League is holding its 3rd annual “Paws for a Cause” event this Saturday Feb. 9th 2008 in Brewster on the Cape.

This wonderful event is a fundraiser for homeless pets on Cape Cod and will be held at the Ocean Edge Resort from 7 to 9 pm. Tickets are $35/person. For more information, please call the Brewster Adoption Center at 508-255-1030.
