Get Your Dog Outside

>   Dog Parks  —  SNIF  @  8:54 am

After a sneak preview of spring last week, it seems like we might finally have some warmer weather coming our way.

We thought it was perfect timing to start talking about getting outside to the local dog parks again!

On this blog you can look through our old posts on dog parks and don’t forget to check out our map of all the local parks

Doggie Portraits

>   Dog Events  —  SNIF  @  9:50 am

We’ve talked about getting professional pictures taken for your dogs before (La Muse is a great choice!) but we received an email this morning that we had to pass along. This weekend there is a really fun charity event where you can get pictures taken of your dogs- just look at these beautiful examples:

This Saturday, the 5th of April from 9:30 to 3:30 at the Children’s Art Center (36 Rutland St. in the South End) you can get Dog Portraits taken by Mim Adkins.

Proceeds of this event benefit the ARL and MSPCA - so everyone should participate!

Our friend Amanda, who helps organize the Boston Yorkie Meetup, sent us some really cute pictures from the party she threw this weekend, celebrating her Yorkie Hudson’s 3rd birthday.

The party was held in one of the play rooms at Doggie Day Care in the South End.

First Bite of Cake.

All the lucky dogs at the party feasted on the special dog treat cake- seen here:

The January Boston pug meetup

>   Dog Events  —  SNIF  @  4:42 pm

Pug meetup

The pug meetup that takes place once a month at Doggie Day, located at 400 Tremont St in Boston, is definitely one of the most social dog playgroups we have been to. Last weekend’s meetup was full of nice pug owners with their pretty babies. If you have a pug, or if you just like them, this meetup is a great opportunity to meet other pug lovers, to socialize your pug and to exchange tips about the breed. Next event will take place on February 2nd at 10 am at Doggie Day.
